In July 2021, heavy rainfall in Henan led to widespread flooding, causing significant damage to crops. Typhoon "Fireworks" made landfall along the coastal areas of Zhejiang, particularly affecting Ningbo, resulting in extensive agricultural losses across various regions in Zhejiang province. In times of adversity, support comes from all directions. On August 2nd and 3rd, Pilar Group (formerly Mindray Lida) officially dispatched relief supplies worth 1 million RMB to Henan and Zhejiang, including pesticide materials for disaster relief. This aid is intended for the remediation of crops such as peanuts, strawberries, and corn that suffered from the adverse effects of flooding. The initiative aims to help farming communities alleviate the pressure of recovering agricultural production, ensuring a bountiful harvest and food security.
According to Luo Baomin, Marketing Support Manager of Pilar Group, the core values of Pilar Group are centered around being "customer-centric, creating value for customers." Adhering to the business philosophy of "caring for crop health, sharing a beautiful life," Pilar Group strives to be a socially responsible national brand, actively engaging in social welfare activities. After the flood disasters in Henan and Zhejiang, where crops were submerged due to heavy rainfall, farmers faced the daunting task of post-disaster crop recovery. Pilar Group, as a pesticide formulation enterprise with a focus on research, development, production, marketing, and services, took immediate action. Chairman Mu Canxian personally visited the affected areas in Henan. The Marketing Department of the group coordinated with various departments, including the market department, factory, and subsidiaries, to promptly study post-disaster crop recovery measures. The team worked tirelessly to assemble a set of products for the prevention and control of soil-borne diseases, promoting root and plant growth. This product combination was urgently dispatched to the disaster-stricken areas and provided as a free donation to farmers in need. Additionally, a post-disaster reconstruction technical service team was formed to deliver medication techniques and remediation methods along with the pesticide materials to the farmers.
Natural disasters are ruthless, but human kindness prevails. Together, we face the storms! Sincerely hoping that farmers can regain confidence, and with the joint efforts of the nation and society, rebuild their homes and restore agricultural production as soon as possible. United, we overcome challenges! Keep going!
